guerrilla death scores – for alternative world weaving practices

Posted on

Guerrilla death scores is a movement approach to insert alternative narratives at cemeteries. As part of the master ‘Performing Public Space’ I developed a series of 8 movement based scores to be performed at cemeteries. The scores are suggestions to question dominant norms at the cemetery and using the space as a peaceful playground for practicing resistance. For example the score ‘mort pour la patrie’, where you draw portraits of you father and hang them on the graves of those who died for ‘the fatherland’. The scores are presented in a publication with a poetic text that observes the place of grief in public life and searches for its political potential.

Poetic text from publication.
